Kyu3’s Blog : English Report : World Cosplay Summit 2014

I went to "The World Cosplay Summit 2014", and took many photos. So, I wrote the entry of my blog!

The first image was made by four photos of "Red Carpet Parade". "Red Carpet Parade" is that many countries's representatives walk on the red carpet in the central area of Nagoya city. They are some counties's representatives. The top-left is Brazil, the top-right is Spain, the under-left is China, and the under-right is Japan! They were doing cosplay of animation and game. Brazilian representatives were "Fire Emblem", Spanish representatives were "Creamy Mami, the Magic Angel" and "Magical Emi, the Magic Star", Chinese representatives were "Samurai Warriors", and Japanese representatives were "Sengoku Basara".

Incidentally, the winner of the "World Cosplay Summit 2014" are Russian representatives.

The final stage of "World Cosplay Summit 2014" was held in "Oasis 21". "Oasis 21" is the composite facilities in the central area of Nagoya city. The all day of "World Cosplay Summit 2014", many Japanese cosplayers were around "Oasis 21" and "Red Carpet Parade"! The second image was made by four photos of my favorite cosplayers. They were in around "Oasis 21" and "Red Carpet Parade". The top-left is "Oishinbo", the top-right is "??" ( I don't know...(^^; ), the under-left is "Frozen", and the under-right is "Dragon Ball"!

Incidentally, "Totoro" of the under-right photo has no connection with cosplay and "World Cosplay Summit". This "Totoro" is the decoration of "Studio Ghibli" goods shop "Donguri Republic" in Oasis 21.

At this year's "World Cosplay Summit", the exhibition of "Itasha" ( the car decorated by animation or game character ) and "Ita-snow-board" ( the snow board decorated by animation or game character ) was held. I think "Itasha" and "Ita-snow-board" is amazing! If I were to love the character of animation or game, I wouldn't think I want to decorate my car or my snow board with these characters! So, I think these cars and snowboard owners love these characters and love to decorate!

Incidentally, the place of this exhibition is "Hisaya Ōdori Park". And the lattice tower of top photo is "Nagoya TV Tower".

The last image was made by four photos of audiences. Many people were watching the final stage of "World Cosplay Summit"!

Recently, cosplay events are held in many areas of Japan. Now, the cosplay event is in fashion in Japan!
