Whenever I used Presto Opera, I used the nickname of bookmarks. But Blink Opera don't have this system. So, I thought how to make the system like the nickname on Blink Opera. And I found two ways! So, I wrote this entry on my blog.


I. Disable the History function, and Add the keyword to Speeddial's name

1. Check the place of history file by "opera:about"
2. Delete all history
3. Close Blink Opera
4. Change the history file to "Read Only"
5. Add the keyword (nickname) to Speeddial's name

By the above way, If you typed the keyword to address bar, the webpage added this keyword would appear at the top of suggest. So, you can quickly access this webpage by pushing "under-arrow" button and "Enter" button!

Why disable the History?

If you didn't disable the History function, you typed the keyword to the address bar, this webpage wouldn't appear at the top of suggest. So, you can't quickly access to the webpage.

Points better than the nickname of Presto Opera

The case of the nickname of Presto Opera, you can't add same keyword to another webpage. But the case of this way, you can add same keyword to many webpage. So, When you add the nickname to the webpage, you don't must to be worried about that this keyword already is added to another webpage. And in the same way of Presto Opera, you don't need to remember many nickname.

Points worse than Presto Opera

You can't use the History function. And you can't access quickly the webpage in the same as Presto Opera. Because you need to push "under-arrow" button. In the case of Presto Opera, you don't need to do it.


II. Use "Add to Search" as the Nickname

1. Right Click on the Search Box of webpage
2. Select "Add to Search"
3. If you wish, you edit the Name and Keyword
4. Open "Search Engine Manager"
5. Change the default URL to the URL of the webpage that you want to access

By the above way, If you typed the keyword to address bar, and push "Space" button and "Enter" button, you would to access quickly to the webpage!

Incidentally, I knew this way by @isaji's tweet blog. He is Opera User. He have used Opera for a long time. And he liked the nickname of Presto Opera, too.

Points better than the nickname of Presto Opera

Nothing.

Points worse than Presto Opera

You can't access quickly the webpage in the same as Presto Opera. Because you need to push "Space" button. In the case of Presto Opera, you don't need to do it.
